Child And Adolescent Safety Paediatrician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child And Adolescent Safety Paediatrician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical and strategic leadership to support holistic, child protection medical and forensic responses within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and strategic leadership to support child protection medical and forensic responses
- Develop systems, policies, and practices to ensure optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for children experiencing sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, and/or domestic violence
- Provide direct clinical care to children and young people experiencing sexual assault, physical abuse, and neglect and/or domestic violence
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, culturally safe, and trauma-informed care
- Lead and provide clinical supervision, education, and research
Requirements:
- Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia
- Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division
- Appropriate knowledge and clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in child abuse and neglect
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to respond appropriately to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
