As a Forensic AOD Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals who offend by providing evidence-based offence-specific screening, assessment and interventions to facilitate their rehabilitation.

About the Role:

  • Deliver clinical intervention programs for people who offend, including facilitation of group work and administration of assessment tools.
  • Contribute to ongoing research and training on the assessment and treatment of relevant service users.
  • Travel may be required, and flexibility is necessary to deliver after-hours services.

About You:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the link between AOD use and offending behaviour.
  • Experience working with forensic AOD and/or dual diagnosis clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as administrative and documentation skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification in Certificate or Diploma IV AOD, Community Services, or a related field.
  • A relevant qualification in social work, a related human services discipline, criminal justice or criminology with work experience in a related field (desirable).
