What you will do
As a forensic alcohol and other drugs practitioner, you will help people with alcohol and other drug (AOD) problems who are in the criminal justice system.
You will:
- Help deliver clinical interventions: Facilitate group or individual therapy programs for offenders with substance abuse issues.
- Conduct assessments: Administer assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of substance abuse on clients.
- Develop and maintain client records: Create and update comprehensive case notes, treatment plans and reports.
- Collaborate with other professionals: Work with corrections staff and other stakeholders to ensure effective client management.
- Maintain professional standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines, participate in professional development, and contribute to data collection and team efforts.

Eligibility
To apply for this role, you should have a current Victorian Driver's Licence and either:
- Minimum qualification in Certificate or Diploma IV AOD, Community Services or similar.
- A relevant qualification in social work, a related human services discipline, criminal justice or criminology with work experience in a related field.
