As a professional in this field at our organisation you will lead and implement the development of robust health, safety, security and environmental systems. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and promoting best practices throughout the organisation.

The role involves working closely with site leaders to develop and embed health, safety, security and environmental systems, developing assurance programs to strengthen compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations, and driving continuous improvement in safety and operational performance.

  • Provide advice on serious and high potential incidents including regulatory notifiable incidents with the potential for litigation.">
  • Provide technical advice and support to line management to ensure operational risks are proactively and appropriately managed.">
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental legislation, standards, and company policies.">
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, security and environmental systems aligned with ISO 14001, 45001, and 28000.">
  • Support audits, assurance activities, and continuous compliance monitoring.">
  • Drive health, safety, security and environmental culture through leadership, training, and engagement initiatives.">
  • Lead incident investigations, ensure regulatory notifications, and manage return-to-work support.">
  • Analyse health, safety, security and environmental data and report on performance to management.">
  • Facilitate decarbonisation projects and environmental reporting (NGER, NPI).">
  • Mentor and lead team members to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).">

  • ">
  • A tertiary qualification in Health, Safety and Environment is desirable.">
  • Formal training in Incident Cause Analysis Method is required.">
  • Internal Auditor certification is highly regarded.">
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a similar health, safety and environment role, ideally within logistics or warehousing.">
  • Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law.">
  • Proven experience in incident investigations, compliance audits, and risk management.">
  • Proficient in health, safety, security and environmental management systems and regulatory reporting.">
  • Understanding of Rail Safety Act and Dangerous Goods legislation is desirable.">
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence at all levels.">
  • A practical, hands-on approach suited to fast-paced, operational environments.">
  • High attention to detail and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.">
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.">
