About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced basketball coach to join our team. As the First Basketball Coach, you will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and contributing to the overall development of our basketball program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach students in basketball skills and techniques
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the performance of the basketball team
  • Collaborate with staff members to ensure the effective delivery of the basketball program

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of students and staff who are passionate about basketball. You will be supported by our experienced staff and provided with resources to excel in your position.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a high level School or Club coach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organisational skills
  • An understanding and commitment to implement the Positive Learner Attributes with students
  • Relevant Coaching Accreditation (Minimum Level 1, Level 2 desirable)
  • Child Safety Mandatory Reporting certificate
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Accreditation (or willingness to obtain through Carey)
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check (essential)
