Basketball Coach – Kingston Basketball Academy

Are you passionate about teaching basketball and nurturing young talent? Kingston Basketball Academy is seeking an enthusiastic coach to lead our junior players, help them develop fundamental skills, and cultivate a love for the game.

About the Role

You'll coach groups of up to 20 students, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our programs run during school terms and holidays, offering potential growth into part-time and full-time roles with our academy.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Multiple years of coaching experience, ideally with youth
  • Capability to inspire and engage groups of up to 20 players
  • Energetic and positive attitude at every session
  • Commitment to continual learning and skill development
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Good understanding of basketball fundamentals
  • Attention to detail in teaching technique and game strategy
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver age-appropriate drills and basketball training
  • Provide feedback on individual progress and team development
  • School term coaching hours:

    – Monday–Thursday: 4:15 pm–8:45 pm

    – Friday: 4:15 pm–6:15 pm

    – Saturday gameday: hours vary by age group
  • School holiday programs: 9:30 am–3 pm
  • Foster enjoyment of the game and promote a positive team environment
