Job Title: Operations Team Leader

This role is accountable for leading and managing a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence.

The Operations Team Leader will play a crucial part in maintaining a high-performing culture by providing direction, coordination, and supervision to ensure service objectives are met. Key responsibilities include the allocation and dispatch of Toll loads, regular communication with drivers and stakeholders, compliance management, and staff supervision to achieve business objectives safely and cost-effectively.

  • Organize vehicles and drivers to meet customer load requirements.
  • Monitor drivers to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure all equipment and ancillary equipment are in operating condition.
  • Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, Fatigue Management, Mass Management, and all aspects of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
  • Ensure all Toll Drivers and subcontractors have been appropriately reviewed in accordance with Toll and subcontractor management procedures.

Achieve operational efficiency while ensuring a safe work environment by actively participating in the roll-out of toolbox meetings and other communications. Foster strong business relations through regular contact with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar transport, logistics, or related industry.
  • Knowledge of WA NHVR legislation and regulations, and fatigue management.
  • Intermediate computer skills preferably with Microsoft office suite.
  • Maintain an ongoing commitment to safety by identifying and reducing workplace hazards.

Demonstrate strong leadership skills to drive high standards while ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.
