**Governance Role Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Governance Advisor to provide corporate governance advice and secretariat services to the Commonwealth Bank Group's onshore and offshore subsidiaries.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact in our team, working closely with Directors and Company Secretaries to ensure effective governance practices.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Advise on corporate filings, entity management systems, and statutory records.
  • Provide guidance on governance policies, compliance issues, and risk management.
  • Review documentation for compliance and identify governance issues.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and templates.
  • BUILD STRONG STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS BY BEING A TRUSTED ADVISOR FOR COMPANY SECRETARIES AND BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS.

**Requirements**

  • A law degree and Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance (GIA) are essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate governance structure, legislation, standards, and regulations.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a governance role or private practice legal role advising on governance matters.
  • Strong organisational skills, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.

**Estimated Salary Range:** AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
