Culinary Leader – We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team in a luxury retreat overlooking a beautiful lake in the Sunshine Coast. This stunning venue, known for its handcrafted treehouses and elegant events, is nestled in the lush rainforest of Montville.
The team is passionate about hospitality, nature, and design, delivering curated experiences including weddings, seasonal celebrations, private dining, and luxury treehouse stays while creating unforgettable moments for every guest.

Job Description

As Culinary Leader, you will be responsible for designing fresh, seasonal menus for lakeside dining and special occasions, ensuring outstanding culinary experiences for our guests. You will lead, guide, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional results, collaborating with the management team to develop new menu items.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to achieve high standards of quality and service
  • Assist in hiring and training new cooks and kitchen staff
  • Supervise meal preparation and manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, and cost control
  • Develop and implement new menu items in consultation with the management team
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
Requirements
  • Relevant post-secondary cookery qualifications to at least Diploma level or agreed substitute
  • At least one year's experience since earning your qualifications in a similar professional capacity
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, set goals, and achieve them under pressure
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and costs effectively
