Cardiology Consultant Position

As a Consultant Cardiologist at Mildura Base Public Hospital, you will provide inpatient consultations, run outpatient and outreach clinics, and contribute to the expansion of the Clinical Diagnostic Unit (including echocardiography, TOE, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and ECG reporting). You will play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary care, supervising junior doctors, and engaging in quality improvement and governance activities.

The ideal candidate will hold FRACP in Cardiology or equivalent international qualifications, such as CCT (UK), CSCST (Ireland), or Board Certification (USA), with completion of accredited specialist training programmes in their respective countries. Competency in echocardiography (TTE, TOE, stress echo) and reporting cardiac investigations is essential. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to education and mentoring, are also required.
