Deliver Exceptional Cardiac Care

As a cardiologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centred care in a collaborative regional health environment. You will have the opportunity to shape a growing service and contribute to exceptional care across North-Western Victoria, Lower New South Wales, and South Australia.

This role requires you to provide inpatient cardiology consultations and outpatient care, as well as develop and deliver outreach cardiology clinics to surrounding regional health services. Additionally, you will conduct and interpret various cardiac investigations to support the Clinical Diagnostic Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology consultations and outpatient care.
  • Develop and deliver outreach cardiology clinics to surrounding regional health services.
  • Conduct and interpret various cardiac investigations to support the Clinical Diagnostic Unit.
  • Offer education, supervision, and support for junior medical staff and medical students.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration in Cardiology is required.
  • Experience in performing stress echocardiograms, transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE), and transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring is expected.
  • Credentialing to implant pacemaker devices would be advantageous.
  • Work within a patient-centred service dedicated to delivering exceptional care across a broad regional catchment.
