Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditing Specialist to join our team at Equifax.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working in our Global Internal Audit Team, where you will play a key role in ensuring compliance and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain, review, and interpret business processes to perform SOX IT testing.
  • Perform walkthroughs of business processes, demonstrating a clear understanding of risks and controls.
  • Complete independent testing in an organized and comprehensive manner, ensuring all required support is submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare complete and accurate testing work papers, including commentary and cross-references.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to SOX process owners, including US stakeholders, to ensure clear and complete understanding of testing support requirements and target dates.
  • Perform and administer technical audits to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of the organization's technology operations.
  • Execute control testing across various control areas, including IT General Controls and Application Controls.
  • Identify risks/gaps based on testing and determine remediation/mitigation plans.
  • Prepare concise and well-organized working papers that accurately reflect the audit tests performed.
  • Discuss preliminary audit findings with management directly responsible for resolution.
  • Prepare reports on the results of the audit and provide recommendations on improvements.
  • Track the status of audit recommendations and perform follow-up.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of external/internal audit experience.
  • Completed or pursuing CISA or a formal Accounting qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT audits and/or SOX testing is an advantage.
  • A commercial mindset that seeks to understand downstream impacts and strategic decisions.
  • An inquisitive mindset.
