Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance and risk management.
About the Role- This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic organization and contribute to the delivery of high-quality compliance services.
- You will work closely with our business units to identify and mitigate potential risks, and develop effective strategies to manage and report on these risks.
- Investigate daily transaction monitoring alerts to identify any potential AML/CTF activity or fraudulent activity;
- Draft Suspicious Matter Reports for review by the Senior Compliance Manager;
- Investigate AML/CTF and Financial Crime escalations from business units;
- Review PEP, Sanctions, and financial crime related screening alerts escalated from business units;
- Assist in the completion of compliance monitoring to ensure that our policies, practices, and programs are consistently applied throughout the business.
- A minimum of [estimated salary: $80,000 - $110,000] per annum based on experience and qualifications;
- Relevant experience in a risk management or compliance role, preferably within the banking or consumer financial services industry;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder engagement.
