Operational since 1999, we are located in the Hunter Valley and supply international markets with approximately 15 Mtpa.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our field maintenance team.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Be a visible leader, proactively maintaining high expectations towards site safety standards.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the mining and maintenance teams, to provide the best outcome.
    • Provide leadership to your team, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
    • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
    • Report incidents, hazards, near-misses, and non-conformances and participate in incident investigations.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience: Dragline, Excavators and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make data driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse).
  • Completed or willingness to complete Effective supervisor training.
