Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor role at Bengalla Mine requires a highly skilled individual to lead the field maintenance team, ensuring safe and efficient maintenance outcomes. Key responsibilities include maintaining high expectations for site safety standards, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver best outcomes, providing leadership, setting clear expectations, reviewing performance, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance safety and technical practices within the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance processes and improve overall mine efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Possession of a Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary qualification.
  • Previous experience as a HME maintenance supervisor in an open cut mining environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Heavy plant maintenance, including 9020 Dragline, Liebherr, and Hitachi Excavators and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining legislation and regulations.
  • Able to make data-driven risk-based decisions, applying analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse).
