Heavy Industry Maintenance Lead

We are seeking an experienced leader to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities on heavy earthmoving equipment.

As a Field Service Mechanic and Electrician, you will be responsible for leading teams, overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise teams working on Cat and Liebherr equipment
  • Coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in the field
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Provide hands-on support and mentoring to maintenance personnel
  • Liaise with production and planning departments to prioritise work and minimise equipment downtime
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You

To be successful, you require:

  • G1,G8,G9 formerly (S1,S2,S3) and G2 supervising certificates and experience in supervising maintenance activities on an operational mine
  • Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or equivalent heavy vehicle mechanic qualification
  • Proven experience in a leading hand or senior field maintenance role within a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Strong knowledge of large-scale mining equipment and field maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Current driver's licence and ability to work a rotating roster
  • Post trade operational mine site experience
  • High risk work license EWP, Dogging, C6 desirable
