Job Overview

The role of Safety and Compliance Leader involves developing and implementing effective safety management plans for industrial processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Process Safety Management Plan to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate activities related to the Management of Change (MOC), including SAP administration and incident investigations.
  • Conduct alarm management reviews, provide functional safety oversight, and collaborate with teams to integrate safety-critical controls into asset plans.
  • Perform HAZOPs and CHAZOPs for new plant and process developments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and apply best practices in process safety management.
  • Deliver training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance to ensure employees are equipped to manage risk effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Possess tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Hold experience in utilities, power generation, large-scale process plants, heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas sectors.
  • Have a thorough understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements governing process safety.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to address complex safety issues.
  • Experience with SAP, MyHSE, and other technical systems is advantageous.
