Senior Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Professional to lead our Occupational Health and Safety Unit within our site and associated business units.
About the Role:This is a key position that requires the successful candidate to promote an organisational culture and practices which create a work environment that provides for the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:- Health and Safety Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance and direction to line managers, supervisors and health and safety representatives across the site in the development and implementation of Health & Safety and Injury Management systems.
- Legislative Compliance: Ensure the provision of health and safety services aligning with legislative requirements and the expectations of the business and operational plans.
- Policy Direction: Provide policy direction for the health and safety function.
- Expertise and Guidance: Provide health and safety expertise to line managers, supervisors and health and safety representatives across the site.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
- Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss and resolve problems, motivate others and negotiate effectively.
- Liaison and Communication: Ability to liaise with counterparts in other sections of the business and communicate effectively through written reports and external correspondence.
- Confidentiality and Agility: Demonstrated skill in dealing with confidential matters and the ability to adopt a highly agile approach to work practice.
