Senior Venue Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Venue Manager to join our team at a newly renovated pub/bistro in Gisborne.

The venue is open seven days a week, offering indoor and outdoor dining, a sports bar, and gaming TAB facilities. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for families to gather.

As a Senior Venue Manager, you will work closely with our Executive Management team to provide an unparalleled customer experience. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue, including gaming and TAB operations, food and beverage service, and staff management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of gaming and TAB operations
  • Excellent food and beverage service skills
  • Able to lead and manage a large team
  • A hands-on approach to tasks
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with preparing staff rosters within budgetary constraints while providing excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of stock control and management
  • Ability to motivate and train staff
  • Current RSA, RSG, Victorian Gaming Licence, TAB Accreditation & Licenses First Steps
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service-driven approach
  • Deliver accurate reporting as required
  • Ensure consistency throughout the venue
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food, beer, and wine trends
  • Previous experience in a senior role at a busy multi-department hotel (gaming, bistro, bottle shop, kitchen, bar, TAB, and functions)
