Job Title: High Risk Trainer And Assessor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments on training sites prior to commencing training sessions in accordance with the RTO's established policies and procedures.
  • Develop comprehensive training plans that ensure the necessary resources are available to support effective delivery.
  • Deliver high-quality training and assessment services in line with RTO and client requirements, utilising proven methodologies to progressively develop knowledge and skills for learners.
  • Focus on delivering tailored services that cater to individual student needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment.
  • Create a supportive environment that promotes equitable treatment and acceptable behaviours for all learners and those contributing to learning and assessment activities.
  • Conduct assessments in accordance with sound principles of assessment, rules of evidence, and designated training and assessment strategies.
  • Identify training gaps between desired and actual learner performance.
  • Perform accurate administrative, recording, reporting, and review tasks associated with allocated training activities.
  • Collaborate with support staff to coordinate documentation flow and ensure student records and operational data remain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
  • Adhere to contractual requirements, including compliance with WorkSafe Victoria (Licencing), VicRoads (Licencing), and VET Funding Contracts.
  • Contribute to the RTO's systematic approach to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing agreed improvements.
  • Participate in RTO assessment moderation and validation activities to promote fair and reliable assessment and maintain alignment with industry expectations and training package requirements.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain competence and industry currency.
Requirements:
  • Possess relevant qualifications and experience in training and assessment.
  • Have knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and The Standards for RTOs 2015.
  • Be able to work effectively within a team environment and provide high-quality training and assessment services.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to identify and address potential risks and hazards in training environments.
