Employee Relations Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to support our team in managing employee relations matters. This role will be based in Brisbane and involves working with a close-knit team that focuses on collaboration and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide on litigation principles and ensure adherence to process.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into various employee relations matters, including grievances, bullying, harassment, fraud or misconduct cases.
  • Prepare documents and responses for matters before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals.
  • Represent the organization at conciliations and dispute matters in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals.
  • Manage complex matters involving ill and injured team members.
  • Provide leaders with recommendations, coaching and advice on legislation, policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant relevant experience in HR or ER/IR roles, including investigations, litigations, case management and employment/labour laws.
  • Excellent coaching, negotiation and influencing skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant ER/IR legislation and application in policy, including experience with the Fair Work Commission and other relevant bodies.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building skills are essential, as is a commercial orientation.
  • Effective time management and ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive cases.
