System Engineer Position Overview

This role involves taking ownership of escalated technical issues and playing a critical part in optimizing and securing client IT infrastructures.

The responsibilities include managing and supporting client environments across servers, networking, and cloud platforms, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances, supporting cybersecurity initiatives including compliance with Essential Eight standards, hardening Microsoft 365 environments, assisting with vulnerability remediation, mentoring junior engineers, contributing to documentation and process improvements, engaging directly with clients to deliver technical solutions and provide strategic IT input.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior technical support or consulting role within an MSP, solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking, hands-on experience with firewalls and security appliances, proficiency with Microsoft 365 security features, and ITIL v4 certification.
