A Coach Role to Support People with Disability

About the Job

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic coach to support people with disability, injury, or health condition in finding meaningful employment.

This is a full-time role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will work closely with participants to explore career goals, build confidence, and support them into sustainable roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and creating career opportunities that match clients' needs and aspirations
  • Championing inclusive employment and workforce diversity
  • Engaging with employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment
  • Brokerage of work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility
  • Preparing workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training
  • Facilitating employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion
  • Building employer and community networks to create job opportunities
  • Promoting Breakthru as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services – desirable
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively
  • Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
