Senior Commercial Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all commercial aspects of contracts and relationships for the SSN-AUKUS program.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Commercial Advisor will play a key role in providing commercial advice and ensuring contract deliverables are met. This includes leading contract administration tasks, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, communicating program risks, commercial obligations, and opportunities, and implementing lessons learned from completed projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a complex commercial setting.
  • A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in a commercial, legal, or business advisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing complex contracts, including resolving difficult issues to achieve positive commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in drafting agreements and managing commercial risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities with limited direction, and build strong business relationships.
