Job Opportunity:">

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Authority to coordinate the design team for our defence and commercial vessel projects. As the principal technical authority, you will ensure that all design solutions are sound, compliant, and aligned with contractual and regulatory obligations.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and ensure cohesive and integrated outputs. You will also be responsible for defining and maintaining the technical baseline, reviewing and approving key design documentation, and providing strategic input into the project schedule.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture) or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience in design and construction of defence or commercial vessels. They will also have 5+ years of management experience operating within a quality framework, as well as tertiary qualifications and professional development to attain recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the design team to ensure compliance with specified design requirements.
  • Lead the coordination of multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Define and maintain the technical baseline.
  • Review and approve key design documentation.
  • Provide strategic input into the project schedule.
Requirements:
