Job Title:

Mechanical Systems Lead

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems.

About The Role:
  • As a Mechanical Systems Lead, you will be responsible for leading teams in designing and developing complex mechanical systems.
  • You will conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters.
  • Engage with system design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that mechanical design artefacts are compatible with baselined products; consistent across all subsystems, delivering system design to meet performance requirements.
  • Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the mechanical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant mechanical/mechatronics/structural engineering discipline.
  • Experience in an engineering discipline including involvement in one or more of the following engineering practices - Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design and Verification and Validation.
  • Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience when a University Degree is held.
