In this dynamic and fulfilling position, you will play a pivotal role within a Leadership Team, overseeing the management and administration of community and native title trust relationships for first nations communities. Your responsibilities will include the formulation, execution, and evaluation of policies, governance, and legal frameworks pertinent to key native title and community trusts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with clients, engaging directly with communities, traditional owners, and beneficiaries while enhancing client engagement strategies.
- Design, organize, and facilitate meetings with client groups, councils, and committees, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external entities such as member-based corporations and financial advisors, while also supporting internal stakeholder connections.
- Prepare and deliver financial and trustee information to decision-making committees and relevant groups in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Efficiently manage complaints and disputes, addressing escalated issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a client-centric culture and driving performance excellence.
- Ensure adherence to legislative and organizational requirements, managing budgets and complying with relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Formal qualification in finance, business, law, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience in complex client service environments.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities or not-for-profit organizations.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution and managing contentious discussions.
- Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Empathetic, resilient, and adaptable character.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and work efficiently both independently and as part of a national team.
