Job Summary

This role involves leading and conducting investigations, providing guidance on the investigation process, and preparing reports for management. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigation management: leading and conducting investigations as agreed with your manager.
  • Provide guidance to all parties on the investigation process.
  • Prepare investigation reports for management in relation to incidents/complaints/allegations.
  • Oversee the follow-up of recommendations to ensure agreed and approved outcomes have been implemented.
  • Work with internal key stakeholders to ensure that we meet all reporting requirements and obligations of regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all investigation records, including online records, are kept up to date as part of the investigation process.
  • Work with and support your team - the Investigation and Complaints team in safeguarding advice matters and in ensuring that all relevant processes are understood and embedded across the organisation.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant field.
  • An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Practice Standards, reportable incident criteria, Victorian Reportable Conduct Scheme, and legislative regulations.
  • Contemporary knowledge of the Royal Commission report findings and recommendations.
  • A current Australian driver's license with a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel intra or interstate.
  • Ideal experience interviewing people with intellectual disabilities and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
