Airside Maintenance Technician Role Overview

About the Position:

This critical airside maintenance role requires a highly motivated Trades Assistant to support key projects across Australia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safe delivery of line marking and aerodrome maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of line marking tasks on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons under close supervision.
  • Undertake general airside maintenance duties including minor runway repairs, concreting, painting, and other technical tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with preparing, loading, and transporting tools, vehicles, and materials.
  • Operate basic plant and equipment under direct supervision.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to work health and safety (WHS), environmental, and quality management procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive and professional team environment by actively participating in discussions and providing constructive feedback.
About You:
  • Demonstrated reliability and enthusiasm for practical work experience.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labor in varied environmental conditions.
  • Willingsness to travel frequently, including overnight trips to remote locations as required.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Training) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Previous experience in line marking, civil construction, or similar trade-related fields is highly desirable.
  • An interest in aviation or infrastructure works is considered an advantage.
  • Manual driver's license (MR class license desirable) for operating company vehicles.
