Padbury Education and Child Care Centre is a non-profit, community-based organisation leading the development of innovative and responsive care for children for over 30 years. We are seeking a suitably qualified Maintenance Technician for a part-time position to join our professional, friendly team.

About you

Are you a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician looking for a part time position?  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the general operation, maintenance and repair of equipment, building and grounds.

Responsibilities for this position include:

· Undertaking general repairs and maintenance

· Overseeing preventative maintenance

· Maintaining nature playgrounds

· To assist in identifying areas of improvement

· To take initiative and solve problems creatively

Required:

  • Must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • Must be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Can do attitude with an attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills to execute maintenance tasks unsupervised
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to follow work health and safety procedures
