About the Role

We are seeking part-time and casual Community Care Employees to join our team at Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Limited. As a Community Care Employee, you will work independently to provide services to our elderly consumers in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to consumers in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist consumers with daily activities, such as domestic duties, transport, shopping, and access to community services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consumers, families, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care and services are delivered.
  • Follow care plans and task lists to ensure consumers receive the best possible support.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to WHS procedures and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Availability to work at least three days a week.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families, and colleagues.
  • Genuine interest in helping the elderly and vulnerable members of the community.
  • Ability to follow care plans and task lists, and perform home care tasks satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices.
  • Understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Current driver's license with a registered, insured, and reliable vehicle.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, health, and resilience to fulfill the demands of the role.
  • Evidence of having the 2023 Influenza and Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses).
  • Police Check suitable for aged care.
What We Offer

An hourly rate of $ per hour, plus relevant allowances, loadings, and superannuation.
