About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team at Aged Care Resumes, providing culturally appropriate in-home support to our aged Aboriginal Elders in the Maitland and Kurri Kurri areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Offer social support, such as accompanying clients to doctor appointments and social outings
  • Perform personal care duties, including showering, feeding, and toileting
  • Assist with manual handling, driver awareness, and social interactions

Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
  • Vaccination for COVID-19 (2 doses)
  • Live within 15-20km radius to ensure a convenient commute
  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, Assistant in Nursing, Caregiver, Aged Care Support Worker, or Community Services Worker
