About the Role
The Continuous Improvement Specialist drives collaboration, strategic change, and continuous improvement of the coal chain. As a key member of the Capacity Planning team, you will identify, develop, and implement improvement initiatives across strategic and operational levels to allow for industry-facing change.
You will support business strategy through project design, management, and execution to drive a continuous improvement culture.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role based on site in HVCCC's Broadmeadow office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement data-driven improvement opportunities across HVCCC and the industry.
- Design and execute projects that align with HVCCC's strategic objectives.
- Apply change management methodologies to drive organisational improvement.
- Conduct process analysis and develop key performance metrics to measure coal chain performance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, service providers, and producers, to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Lead the development of reports and visual analytics to provide actionable insights.
- Support and facilitate member engagements to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, logistics, or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering operational improvements using structured methodologies, project management, and analytical tools.
- Existing statistical capability and an analytical mindset.
- Demonstrated confidence to engage with and present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Certificates or shown equivalent experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, and Change Management will be advantageous.
