Aboriginal Family Practitioner/Senior Aboriginal Family Practitioner Role

This position involves working with Aboriginal families and communities to deliver culturally respectful support. The role requires providing appropriate practices, leading collaboration, and supporting the protection of Aboriginal children.

The successful candidate will have experience in understanding the diversity of issues affecting Aboriginal people, maintaining strong relationships with communities, and identifying potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally appropriate practices when working with Aboriginal families.
  • Lead collaboration with families, community services, and agencies to deliver inclusive support.
  • Support the protection of Aboriginal children by responding to abuse concerns and managing risks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in Social Work or eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal communities and knowledge of their cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse professional backgrounds.
