Job Description

Management Applications, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT Professional to provide expert assistance for our entity in Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities
  • Management Studies: Provide a comprehensive range of services associated with business issues, including analysis and evaluation of current functional or system operations and procedures.
  • Tactical Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans, best practices, and emerging technologies within our information processing environment.
  • Implementation: Implement the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and/or Capability Maturity Model.
  • Performance Measures: Develop and implement performance measures, independent verification and validation (IV&V) of projects, and economic analysis such as return on investment and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Compliance: Assess and recommend strategies for achieving compliance with mandates or regulations within specific time frames.
  • Strategic Planning: Support strategic information technology architecture planning and design, policy and procedures development and writing.
Disaster Planning/Disaster Recovery Planning
  • Recovery Strategies: Provide hands-on support in the technical subset of Disaster Planning/Disaster Recovery dealing with recovery strategies and data collection/organization/planning.
  • Plan Testing: Support testing the plan, including independent review of existing materials and revision of those materials.
  • Software Systems: Experience in the development, implementation, configuration, operation, and support of software systems (both custom developed and third-party applications).
  • Material Review: Ability to review materials with an eye towards what information is missing.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least five (5) years of experience performing Management Studies and successfully completed three projects in Management Studies; and/or at least five (5) years of experience performing Disaster Recovery Planning and successfully completed three projects in Disaster Recovery Planning.
  • Skills: Ability to write for a skilled audience, thematically organize information, and employ standard project management principles.
  • Language: Strong English language and technical jargon skills and abilities.
