Job Description">

The Queensland Police Service is seeking a Senior Prosecutor to provide professional prosecution services, including the provision of legal advice to members of the service on matters before the Magistrates, Childrens and Coroners Courts.

  • Provide high-quality prosecution services for the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the highest quality of briefs is maintained through monitoring the provision of evidence by police for use in summary trials and committal proceedings.
  • Liaise and consult with members of the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies, and the community to establish effective working relationships and achieve desired policing outcomes.
  • Take a lead role in the development and provision of quality legal research, argument, submissions, opinion, and advice.
  • Manage resources efficiently to achieve operational goals for the area of responsibility.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily work activities.
Requirements:
  • Admission as, eligibility for immediate admission as, or entitlement to practice as, a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland.
