Chief Environmental Officer

About this Role
The role is responsible for ensuring all operational environmental compliance requirements are met.
Main Responsibilities Include
- Management of all operational environmental regulations and standards
- Providing accurate and timely advice on environmental issues
- Maintenance of an environmental management system to ISO 14001 standard
- Providing environmental support and advice on various projects
- Maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, government and regulatory agencies
What We're Looking For
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a relevant area
- Experience with contaminated land and asbestos management
- Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and management systems
- Prior involvement in managing project consultants and dealing with regulatory agencies
- Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of operations and development is advantageous
