About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Officer to join our team at Indigenous Business Australia. As a key member of our Business Solutions team, you will work closely with our Policy Manager to deliver program and project outcomes that drive financial inclusion and economic empowerment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery, operations, and planning for specific products or programs, meeting all KPIs while maintaining a continuous improvement approach.
  • Driving and managing a range of projects, monitoring and controlling progress over the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of policy initiatives enhancing the quality of the customer experience, business journey, and outcomes.
  • Maintaining a Master Document Register to ensure the correct and up-to-date document information is available and keeping track of all current documents in use.

What You'll Bring to the Team

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in business lending, lending policy, or risk management within a financial institution.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of business lending policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with key stakeholders.
