As part of our Pacific Region team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting People Managers across all MMC businesses.
Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will possess experience in coaching and advising People Managers without oversight in most situations. They will be skilled in handling employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions. Additionally, they must support performance management, contribute to wellbeing and injury management, and coordinate with relevant teams for return-to-work accommodations.
Key Responsibilities- Advise and coach People Managers on a range of activities in the HR portfolio, including employee relations, performance management, and communications.
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
- Support performance management, including implementing colleague training or mentoring programs and monitoring compliance where required.
- Contribute to wellbeing and injury management, leave and absence topics, and coordinate with relevant teams for return-to-work accommodations.
- Confidence and experience to operate without regular supervision, with the initiative to bring in specialist colleagues as required.
- Experience in supporting managers with complex employee relations case management, including investigations and administration of hearings.
- Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers effectively through all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve the service provided by People Services and experience in leading work to define and implement changes.
