About the Role:

  • Deliver comprehensive support services to individuals with substance use disorders in a residential rehabilitation setting, focusing on building strong relationships and providing relevant interventions.
  • Develop and implement psycho-social educational programs, ensuring participants are engaged and empowered to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with case managers and support staff to coordinate social activities, fostering a sense of community and promoting participant well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage participant behavior in accordance with program policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish trusting relationships with participants, offering tailored support and guidance to help them overcome challenges.
  • Organize and facilitate enjoyable social activities, promoting participant engagement and collaboration with support staff.
  • Work closely with case managers and support workers to develop and implement effective intervention strategies, driving positive outcomes for participants.
  • Manage participant behavior in line with program policies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in social work, psychology, addiction counseling, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working in the social services sector, particularly in AOD settings.
  • Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent.
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check and National Police check.
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
