Role Overview

The Drug Health Service is seeking an experienced specialist in addiction medicine to provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative services. The primary purpose of the role is to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities that enhance the service's effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver diagnostic and consultative specialty services in drug health settings
  • Participate in educational programs, research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain a high standard of professional performance and academic environment that supports education, research, and professional growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or Psychiatry (FRANZCP) with recognised qualifications in Addiction Medicine and/or equivalent specialist recognition
  • Certification as an approved opioid pharmacotherapies prescriber in NSW or commitment to achieve this status within 3 months of appointment
