About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the North Coast Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing collaborative, trauma-informed mental health rehabilitation care to individuals with persistent mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services for inpatients, outpatients, and community clients in a manner consistent with professional codes of ethics and current policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy intervention and discharge planning services for adults using professional judgment and evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community support services to provide comprehensive care.
  • Plan and coordinate clinical, administrative, and continuing professional development roles, prioritizing duties and organizing work plans.
  • Delegate suitable tasks to therapy aides and maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualifications recognized for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Current driver's license valid to drive in NSW.
