About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environment Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Transurban. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining cloud-based and on-premises environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

As an Environment Sustainability Specialist, you will contribute to the development and execution of the Environment Management & Governance strategy for the Tolling and Customer (GLIDe) Platform. You will also work with the Environment Manager/Domain Lead to develop and mature platform engineering metrics, standards, processes, and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining cloud-based and on-premises environments
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the Environment Management & Governance strategy
  • Working with the Environment Manager/Domain Lead to develop and mature platform engineering metrics, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Automating infrastructure tasks using TU-approved toolsets

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual with a strong history of customer engagement and staff motivation. If you have a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated, and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organisation
  • Strong history of team/customer engagement and staff motivation
  • A strong desire to learn with an ability to seek out and accept new challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels
  • Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in Information Technology with AWS or on-prem infrastructure
  • Strong experience with development tooling e.g. Jenkins; GitHub; Eclipse
  • Proven experience with technologies such as Oracle Fusion and Oracle DBs; OEM; CAWA; JAVA middleware; AWS EC2; S3; AWS DynamoDB; SQLRDS; SQL Server; SQL DB;.NET; Ansible; GitHub; Jenkins; API driven development; Development and Deployment Automation, Salesforce, MuleSoft
