About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Delivering Clinical Services: Work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as collecting referrals, ordering equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Transportation and Setup: Transport clients to and from therapy sessions, and set up and pack away therapy equipment.
  • Exercise Programs: Develop and lead exercise programs for clients, under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
  • Client Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, and work with them to achieve their goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
  • Australian Working Rights: Hold a valid Australian working visa.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of healthcare principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
