Job Title: Purchasing and Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to execute and manage all aspects of the local and overseas purchasing process. This includes overseeing exports to various regions, working closely with multiple business functions on a regular basis, and ensuring compliance and administration.

A typical day involves:

  • Processing and maintaining MRP data base to ensure accurate and up-to-date orders.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers: placing orders, coordinating freight, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Ensuring compliance and administration by reconciling invoices and maintaining data.
  • Communicating with sales and service teams regarding orders, deliveries, and customer enquiries.
  • Assisting in information collection and assessment for forecasting purposes.
  • Reviewing Interstate Transfer requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders. Previous experience working in Purchasing, International Purchasing and Logistics or similar in a Manufacturing environment is highly regarded. Additionally, proficiency in database systems, preferably Epicor, SAP or similar, is required.
