About the Role

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Equity and Outreach Coordinator. This is a full-time, continuing role based on our Sydney Campus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach and access initiatives that engage prospective students from cohorts traditionally underrepresented in higher education. This will include low socioeconomic backgrounds, regional and remote Australia, and First Nations students.

The Coordinator will design and embed ongoing initiatives that support, engage and retain equity cohorts to succeed within the University from admission to graduation. This will involve providing leadership and guidance to Student Equity staff and Student Ambassadors to deliver program objectives.

The role will also involve working collaboratively with academic and professional staff across the University to advise on best-practice activities, policy and funding requirements, and enable coordinated responses. The Coordinator will build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders that increase opportunities for widening participation.

The successful candidate will have a degree with at least 4 years relevant experience in, or extensive experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. They will have demonstrated knowledge and awareness of the social determinants of education, as well as the ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders both internal and external.

The Coordinator will be proficient in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, online collaboration and project management tools and common software applications. They will be supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
