Workplace Safety Specialist

Job Overview
This role focuses on enhancing workplace safety and promoting employee wellbeing. As a proactive Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing comprehensive programs and campaigns to prevent harm and improve health outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and provide operational support to the project management team.
- Develop strategic initiatives to promote worker health and safety, including training programs and workshops.
- Support return-to-work coordinators in rehabilitating injured employees.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and regulations.
- Communicate safety requirements across all workplaces.
Requirements:
- Certified IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a related field or role.
- First aid certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Desirable: ICAM, trainer and assessor, return-to-work, working at heights, confined space training.
