As a senior management role within NRM South, the Finance Manager plays a crucial part in leading and directing all aspects of its financial operations.

The position operates across various aspects of the organisation, contributing to strategy and direction setting, identifying growth pathways, and operational improvements. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager works closely with key stakeholders to provide robust financial management.

The successful candidate will bring their extensive expertise in financial management, paired with excellent communication skills, to actively contribute to strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include guiding the identification and execution of growth strategies, streamlining operational processes, and ensuring robust financial governance.

This dynamic role oversees a range of financial management services, from budget planning to payroll management, aiming to maintain the organisation's financial health and efficiency. Additionally, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of the operational Finance Officer, fostering a collaborative finance team.

NRM South is one of three natural resource management bodies in Tasmania and forms part of a national network of 54 similar bodies. As a not-for-profit organisation, NRM South values innovation, excellence, collaboration, passion, and being outcome-focused.

We have a partnership delivery model, working on projects with Australian and Tasmanian Governments, and through investment from local business and industry partners. Our priorities include identifying regional needs for natural resource management, preparing regional strategies, and implementing solutions.

Salary: $119,995-131,793 per year, excluding superannuation. Flexible FTE load (1-4 days/week).
