About This Role

You will lead major civil and mining infrastructure projects nationwide, coordinating engineering and drafting design documentation across multi-disciplinary teams. A strong technical expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential for this position.

  • Coordinate complex engineering and drafting design documentation across multiple teams.
  • Lead 2D and 3D CAD design work for civil and mining infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings—from concept through to as-constructed documentation.
  • Perform scaling, dimensioning, and layout work using standard procedures.
  • Conduct 3D modeling and quantitative analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee and quality-check drafting deliverables from junior designers.
  • Guide and mentor junior designers while contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients, supporting project feasibility, design, and construction.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing workflows and CAD standards.
  • Contribute to proposals and budgeting for new projects.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in civil or mining infrastructure design (mining experience is a plus).
  • Strong technical expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Proven experience preparing earthworks and infrastructure designs, including dams, levees, pipelines, and hardstands.
  • Skilled in processing survey data and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable leading, collaborating, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and lead delivery within a national team setting.
