Transport Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview

The Senior Road Designer will focus on designing and developing major highway projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. This role involves working with Main Roads Western Australia to shape the state's transport infrastructure.

This position requires expertise in creating detailed road designs using industry-standard software such as OpenRoads and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines.

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex road design challenges, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of design plans and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive road design solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a suitable degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering and relevant road design skills and experience using OpenRoads, Civil 3D or 12D.

They will have experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects and be able to address unexpected challenges and find solutions that meet design criteria.
